Loretta June (Pearlman) Way, age 90, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away at the St. Luke’s Nassif Transitional Care Center on Thursday, May 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Loretta was born on June 1, 1934, in Des Moines, IA. She was the daughter of the late Ivan and Veda (Bryant) Pearlman. On September 12, 1954, Loretta married the love of her life, Ira Way in Des Moines, IA. She worked as an administrative assistant for many years before her retirement. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Survivors include her children, James (Schary) Way, Ric (Marcia) Way, and Kathleen (Mathew) Mathai; her grandsons, Michael (Supreet) Way, and Alec Way; her sister, Sandra Novotny, of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the St. Luke’s Nassif Transitional Care Center for all the love and support they showed Loretta while she was in their care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to First Lutheran Church.
