Darcy Jane (Moran) McMains, 53, of Elberon, IA passed away May 18, 2025, surrounded by family, at her home in Elberon, IA after a courageous battle with cancer.
Darcy was born February 15, 1972, to John and Martha (Mullins) Moran in Cedar Rapids, IA. She graduated from Benton Community, Class of 1990.
Darcy cared for people working in healthcare her entire career; most recently at Compass Memorial Hospital, which she truly enjoyed. She also volunteered for Impact Life as a driver for over 13 years.
On August 17, 2016, Darcy married Scott McMains at Palisades Park in Cedar Rapids, IA; making their home in Elberon. Together they enjoyed road trips and antiquing. She loved her flowers, chickens, coffee and always had a candle burning.
Family was Darcy’s whole world, cherishing time with her daughters and granddaughter. She had a generous and caring nature. Darcy had a way of connecting with people through her sense of humor and just being down to earth. Even when things got tough, she would reassure those around her that “Everything is fine.”
