Brian Bristol, 50, succumbed to a heart attack February 16 at his home in Bluffton SC, where he had lived his entire adult life working in restaurant management. Brian was a 1992 graduate of Iowa City High School. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Ann and Don Stahly, along with his brother, Brad Bristol (Pascale) and their three sons, Dominic (Jensen), Donte and Daniel. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Bristol.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. May 24, 2025, at Parkview Church in Iowa City. There will be a time of visitation prior to the service and all are invited to a luncheon immediately following. Burial will be in Memory Gardens after the luncheon. Instead of flowers, memorials may be sent to Ann Stahly, 78 Lancaster Place, Iowa City IA 52240, to benefit local grade school instrumental music education, which is where Brian began his love for music playing saxophone, guitar and keyboard. When he wasn’t working he enjoyed music, golf, and taking care of his car.
