Francis and Kathy were married on May 14, 1960, at St. Michael's Church in Belle Plaine. Their children are Tim Musel, Laurie Smejkal, and Lisa (Doug) Musel-McCoy. They have three grandchildren, Madison and Cole Smejkal and Cassandra Musel.
