Donald “Don” Wayne Jones, 67, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha, Iowa. A private Celebration of Life will be held on June 5th, 2025.
Don was born June 5, 1957, in Davenport, Iowa and was united in marriage to Teresa Lachmann on June 25, 1983, in Davenport. Don was a gifted soul with a poet’s heart, often writing poems about the beauty he saw in life, faith, family and friends. He was a devoted husband, a proud loving father and grandfather. His family was the center of his world and he showed it in every hug, every word of encouragement, and every moment shared. He made friends wherever he went and gave his time generously, always ready to help those in need and was deeply committed to volunteering in his community and church. He will be missed more than words can express and remembered with warmth, laughter, and deep admiration.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Lachmann-Jones; son, Shawn (Traci) Jones; and grandchildren, Xander and Quinn.
