Lois Darlene Joslyn, 63, died peacefully Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at home surrounded by family.
Funeral Services will be at 10 AM, Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coralville with Rev. Mitchell Otto officiating. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 10 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lois Joslyn Memorial Fund.
Lois was born December 21, 1961 in Anderson, IN, the daughter of Rev. Carl and Minnie (Gerdes) Lueker. She lived in Alexandria, IN, and Witchita, KS, before moving to Clarinda, IA, where she graduated from high school. She received her LPN from Iowa Western Community College and her RN degree from Southwest Community College.
On August 3, 1979 Lois married Randal Joslyn in Clarinda.
Lois was a registered nurse in the Mother-Baby Care unit at UIHC for 38 years, retiring in May 2024.
Lois was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and happily a member of the “Lois” club. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Lois is survived by her husband, Randy and their daughters, Jessica Joslyn and Chelsea Joslyn (Mattes Landsberg); her grandson, Theodor; siblings, Karen (Dan) Spinuzzi and Esther (Ken) Haas; sister-in-law, Sharyn Lueker; and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Carl Lueker.
