WILLIAMSBURG ---The Williamsburg Community School District is dedicated to enhancing our facilities to better reflect the priorities and values of our residents.
Following last November’s failed bond referendum, we have been developing a revised plan — and we need your input to guide our next steps.
Earlier this year, we gathered input from the community and created a more cost-effective plan that still addresses our most critical facility needs. This new plan focuses on essential updates at Mary Welsh Elementary and Williamsburg Junior/Senior High School, with an estimated project cost of $16 million.
You can find these updates and additional information on the facilities planning page, available soon on the homepage of the Williamsburg Community School District website, williamsburg.k12.ia.us.
Before we proceed, it’s vital that we understand if this revised plan meets your expectations. Your feedback will help ensure that any future investments are supported by the community we serve.
Every resident of the Williamsburg Community School District will receive a survey in the mail. Please keep an eye on your mailbox for your four-page survey, which includes a unique access code and instructions for participation.
For additional copies of the survey or for the unique code associated with this anonymous survey, contact the Williamsburg Schools’ business office at 319-668-1059. Your input is crucial as we shape the future of our schools together.
