Donna L. Lintern
Donna L. Lintern
Homosassa, FL
Donna L. Lintern, 72, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, April 29, 2025 with family at her side. She was born May 14, 1952 in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of LeRoy and Arlene (Sudmeier) Wilhelm. Donna attended West Delaware Schools.
Donna enjoyed hosting guests and entertaining. Music and dancing were a part of life for her. When visiting Donna you could count on good food, great company, and your favorite liquid refreshment. Her motto was: “If you’re hungry, eat. If you’re thirsty, drink. And if you’re tired, sleep. You’re on vacation baby!”
Donna enjoyed expressing her creativity through colorful decor, vibrantly hand-painted crafts, and eccentric figurines. Her humor penetrated everywhere. Donna was a secret foodie; cooking for guests and loved ones was how she expressed her love. We all had a favorite Donna recipe.
Aside from home life, Donna spent her time traveling the world with Richard. Her generosity extended to many family and friends who accompanied her on these global trips. She was a ‘master packer’. Her organizational skills benefited many businesses and volunteer organizations throughout the years.
Donna is survived by her 5 sisters and 6 brothers, Dave Wilhelm, Diane (Stephen) Wilhelm-Johnson, Mike (Rhonda) Wilhelm, Mary (Mike) Knipper, Tom (Jo) Wilhelm, Vicki (Brian) Rehnstrom, Steven Wilhelm, Ann (Rick) Pech, Kate (Dan) McNeal, Phil (Molly) Wilhelm, Gary Wilhelm, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard; her parents and a nephew, Andrew Knipper.
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid-in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a ride!’”
