CEDAR RAPIDS — Residents can get on board with Cedar Rapids transportation efforts and infrastructure with an upcoming 10-week program.
Registration is now open for the Cedar Rapids Community Transportation Academy, set to run May 6 through July 8. The no-cost academy features presentations by local experts meant to help participants explore transportation planning and develop solutions to transportation challenges.
The once-a-week course will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each Tuesday at the Beems Auditorium B at the downtown Cedar Rapids Public Library.
The program is a partnership between the city of Cedar Rapids, Linn County, 1000 Friends of Iowa and AARP Iowa. It is offered for free to area residents, although registration is required.
The registration link and additional information can be found online at 1000friendsofiowa.org.
