Day - Evans

Melissa Day and John Evans, both of Charlotte, NC, were married June 19th on the Longboat Key beach in Florida. Reverend Steve King of Tampa, FL officiated.

Matron of Honor was the bride's sister, Meredith Schoore of Jackson, TN. Best Man was Peter Elwood of Naperville, IL. The wedding party was completed by nieces and nephews of the bride and groom: Olivia and Sam Schoore of Jackson, Brenna and David Holt of Bonner Springs, KS, and Hannah day of Little Rock, AR.

Sunny, warm weather greeted the friends and family attending. Meals of local Florida fare and seafood were served gulf side at the rehearsal and at the reception.

Melissa is the daughter of Barbara and Dickie Day of Jackson. She is a Nurse Practitioner at the Sanger Clinic, Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte. John is the son of Nancy and Bob Evans of North English, IA. He is the grandson of the late Jane and David Evans of North English. John is a partner in the Charlotte law firm of Moore and Van Allen.

The couple resides in Charlotte.
