Susanne Michelle Jamesson (Marx), 69, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Susanne was born on February 28, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Robert and Adeline (Landgren) Marx. She was united in a marriage to Michael “Mick” Jamesson on February 26, 2015.
In 1986 Susanne received her certified nursing assistant degree from Kirkwood and a life-long career as a caregiver until her retirement.
Susanne had a passion for nature, camping, planting flowers, puzzles, playing slots, and annual road trips to Prairie Du Chien with her family. She had a great love for all animals, especially Lucy, Goldie and Baby. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren.
Susanne is survived by her husband, Mick; daughter, Krysta (Ryan) Roling; sisters, Jolene Jones, and Janet (James) Primmer; Mick’s children, Treg (Kelli) Jamesson, and Caley (Tim) Gibbons; grandchildren, Emilee Barger, Ella “Maxxi” Roling, Cale (Taylor) Jamesson (great-grandson Cash), Laine Jamesson, and Makena Gibbons; and nieces and nephews, Jeremy (Jacque) Jones (children, Tinley and Colton), Corey Marx, Riley (Adam) Burns, McCaela Marx (children Illiana and Cruze), Dillon (Mary) Primmer, Matthew Primmer, Rosie (Bryan) Cutter (children Hailey and Reegan).
Susanne was preceded in death by her parents, Adeline and Robert Marx, brother, Matthew Marx, and nephew, Justin Jones.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The ASPCA or St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
