Barbara A. Bloomhall passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, in Cedar Rapids, IA, surrounded by her loving family. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Private interment follows the service.
Born January 31, 1932, in Dubuque to Philip and Alice Gaines, Barbara attended Grinnell College and graduated from the University of Iowa. She was past president of the Junior League of Cedar Rapids, helped start and lead the Cedar Rapids Charity Horse Show, was a respected local Realtor for 30 years, and was a longstanding member of the Cedar Rapids Country Club. Barbara enjoyed spending winters in Southwest Florida and time with family and friends. She loved entertaining her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her children, Stuart (Lee) Lenzen, Philip (Anne) Lenzen and David (Patti) Lenzen; grandchildren, Nicholas, Lucas, Sofie, Gunnar, Erik, William (Aspen), Julianne (Brian) and Cole; and great-grandchild, Gabriel.
The family would like to thank Louise Zimmerman for her years of compassionate care of Barbara.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, William Bloomhall, and her parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Brucemore or Camp Courageous are encouraged.
