Jill Marie Radeke, 44 of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2025, after a long illness. Celebration of Life gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
Jill was born on September 12, 1980, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Scott Jeffrey and Linda Kay (Frazier) Tomash. She was a 1998 graduate of Cedar Rapids Prairie High School and received her Associate of Arts from Hamilton College. She married Scott Radeke on January 27, 2007, at Sharon United Methodist Church, and they welcomed daughter Kaylee in 2010. Jill enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, fishing, Iowa Elite Cheer, the Hawkeyes and her furry companion Jaxson Bean. Jill is survived by her husband Scott and daughter Kaylee Radeke; parents Scott Tomash (Julia), Linda Nordgren (Gordy); siblings Nick Nordgren (Kimberly), Jennifer Zinser (Brandon), Jessica Drees (Brian); Grandparents Mary Frazier and Alice Floss; her in-laws Katie Schmidt, Joanne and Chris Radeke (Amanda); six nieces and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Frank (Dolores) Tomash and Fred and Dorothy Nordgren, George Floss and Eleanor Floss; grandparents-in-law George and Doris Radeke and Allen Schmidt; and father-in-law Steven Radeke.
Her generous, funny, independent personality will be greatly missed.
