Sandra “Sandy” Alberts, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Mercy Hospital Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after a long battle with COPD. She was 66 years old.
Sandy was born September 6, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Glenn and Evelyn (Baker) Blattner. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1976. She enjoyed many careers in her life, such as Jim’s Foods, and the one she retired from, (ASAC) Heart of Iowa.
Survivors include her son, James (Tracy) Alberts; daughter, Elizabeth Alberts, both of Cedar Rapids; son, Nicholas (Lauren) Alberts of Houston, Texas; six amazing grandkids, Bailey, Abigail, Sarah, Emma, Brennan, and Rugar James; brother, Michael (Jill) Blattner, sister, Lori (Jacinto) Ramos, five nephews, and one great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her premature twins, Matthew and Sarah Alberts; parents, and sister, Deborah “Susie” Polton.
Per Sandy’s wishes, no services are planned. The family is being cared for by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
