Glenn Louis Holub
Glenn Louis Holub
Tucson, AZ
Glenn Louis Holub, 71, of Tucson, AZ, died Dec. 24, 2024.
Glenn was born in Cedar Rapids on May 29, 1953. He graduated from Jefferson High School and later attended Kirkwood Community College. From an early age, Glenn developed a love for the outdoors, enjoying camping trips and fishing excursions with his family. He had a special fondness for the family’s dogs and treasured the time spent with them.
In 2007, Glenn made the move to Tucson, where he later worked at the Jim Click Dealership. He had many interests. Glenn spent his free time taking painting classes, creating beautiful works of art that he proudly shared with his family and friends.
Known for his genuine kindness and ability to connect with others, Glenn had a natural curiosity about people and loved hearing their stories and perspectives. He approached life with an open heart and was always eager to make new friends.
A devoted sports fan, Glenn was a passionate Hawkeye supporter, and his love for sports extended to his admiration for the Chicago Bears and Cubs. His brother Gary was not only a close family member but his best friend; they bonded over sports and their shared love for family. Glenn’s nephews and niece were the light of his life, and he was dedicated to keeping up with their lives and growth.
Glenn will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His warmth, kindness, and friendship left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Glenn is survived by sister Laurie Walkner (Wayne), nephews Nathan and Taylor Walkner, niece Madeline Walkner, great-nephew James and sister-in-law Mary Cherion Holub. He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Doris Holub and brother Gary Holub.
