Dorothy Rose Tesdahl, 83, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at her home. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, with visitation one hour prior. Inurnment will follow at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Dorothy was born on April 7, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, the daughter of George and Agnes (Lampe) Jacobs. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and went on to work at Rockwell Collins for 12 years. On February 17, 1962, Dorothy was united in marriage to Robert N. Tesdahl in Marion. She was very involved with her grandchildren's lives. Dorothy enjoyed camping vacations and women's billiards while wintering in Alamo, Texas. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Ascension Lutheran Church. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dorothy is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Robert; children, Curtis (Lisa) Tesdahl of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Mark (Joan) Tesdahl of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, Brennan (Natalya), Paige (Grant) White, Corey, Jordan, and Myles (Anna); great-grandchild, Madison Midthus; and sister, Joy (Steve) Wilson of Mt. Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold and Wilbur; and grandson, Connor.
