Madalyn “Sally” Harms, 92, of Vinton, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Windsor Manor Assisted Living in Vinton, Iowa. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa, where there will be a Visitation from 10 - 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Wayne Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Monticello, Iowa.
Sally was born on December 17, 1932, in Lake City, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Winnie (Wick) Davis. On June 12, 1955, Sally was united in marriage to Raymond Edward Harms at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She worked as a credit department clerk at Sears Roebuck for over 21 years, until her retirement. Sally was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Marion, where she also sang in the choir and was a member of their quilting group. Sally will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sally is survived and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Randy (Roxann) Harms of Vinton, and Bruce (Dianne) Harms of Monticello, Iowa; two granddaughters, Katie (James) Kuhn of Urbana, Iowa, and Megan (Bruce Jr.) Lange of Marion; four great-grandchildren, Karly Kuhn, Jax Kuhn, Madelyn Lange, and Mallory Lange; and one brother, Dan (Karyl) Davis of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond, who passed in 2020; and two sisters, Mary Dickinson and Nancy Zeimet.
