Joseph (Joe) C. Wisnousky, 85, of Swisher, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass and family burial will be held privately.
Joe was born on May 6, 1939, the son of Edwin and Leona Wisnousky. He was united in marriage to Donnalee Chalupsky on September 10, 1960, at St. Ludmila’s Church in Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Donna, and by his children Brad (Connie) Wisnousky of Fairfax, IA, and Laura (Jack) Rainey of Cedar Rapids. His grandchildren, John (Kaci) Rainey, Alex (Danielle) Wisnousky, Caroline (Tom) Rainey-Fluegel, Maddie Rainey, Holly (Steve) Pulaski, Austin Wisnousky and Eric Wisnousky. Great grandchildren, Barret, Jori, Jude and Carmen.
He was proceeded in death by his son, Michael, parents and siblings, Ed, Tom and Jerry.
Joe was a hardworking man who loved tinkering and rebuilding tractors, engines and cars. He loved taking care of the Wisnousky family farm and enjoyed his many adventures of Canada fishing, cruising to Alaska and New Zealand, traveling to Formula I and Indy races and being outdoors. Most of all, he adored his grandchildren and formed very special bonds with the younger generation.
