Koch got off to a nice start in his freshman season, but health issues limited him to 10 games

Iowa freshman forward Cooper Koch entered the NCAA transfer portal Wednesday, bringing the number of 2024-25 Hawkeye men’s players in the portal to six.
Plagued by health issues, the 6-foot-8 Koch was a rotation player before shutting it down for the season. He played in just 10 games, averaging 4.6 points. He made 9 of 21 three-pointers.
He is the son of former Iowa men’s basketball player J.R. Koch.
Other Hawkeyes in the portal are Josh Dix, Owen Freeman, Brock Harding, Riley Mulvey and Pryce Sandfort.
