Susan Mae Olmstead (Franks) of Hiawatha IA passed away March 12, 2025. Susan was born June 18, 1946. She was the daughter of Harold and Eleanore Franks (Robinson).
She spent her life as demo lady for Sam’s club and as a loving housewife. Susan was an amazing mom, sister, grandma (crazy grandma) and Aunt. She treasured her time spent with family especially her great grandkids. She always knew how to make you smile even on your worst days.
Susan is survived by her two daughters Brenda (Steve) Olmstead of Hiawatha, Pam (James) Moeller of Anamosa, Ten grandchildren, and twenty-three great grandchildren, and many well-loved nieces and nephews.
Susan was proceeded in death by her son, one granddaughter, one grandson and the love of her life Richard Lee Olmstead Sr.
A Celebration of life will be held April 19th from Noon to 4pm at the Hiawatha legion.
