Golden Apple Buffet opens in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS — A new buffet has opened in southwest Cedar Rapids, after much anticipation.
The Chinese and Asian buffet, first announced last summer, opened on March 6. The restaurant, next to Dirty Dough at 2811 Wiley Blvd. SW, fills out the new developments near Westdale Mall.
In addition to sushi, Chinese and American food on the buffet lines, admission includes build-your-own options for hibachi and Vietnamese pho.
The small chain’s latest location comes after a rapid string of openings across the country last year in Nebraska, Georgia and Maine.
An interview with owner Dong Sheng by PapillionBusinesses.com indicated it’s one of several that Sheng has plans to open in Georgia, New York, Massachusetts and Missouri.
