Carroll D. Krier passed away after a short illness at St. Luke’s hospital on February 25, 2025. He was born near Sigourney, Iowa on October 25, 1932 to Jacob and Erma (Parkhill) Krier. He joined the U.S. Navy and then attended Parsons College and the University of Iowa. Carroll was employed by the U.S. Defense Department as a Quality Control agent for over 30 years.
Carroll is survived by his children, daughter, Kathleen Moorehead and granddaughters, Megan and Melissa, of Maple Valley, Wash.; his son, Craig (Penny) Krier, and daughter, Amy Krier, of Cedar Rapids, brother-in-law James (Janette) Paulson, nieces and nephews and his little dog Sammie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy on August 7, 2010, two brothers Earl Krier and Glen Krier.
Graveside services: Saturday, March 8, 2025, 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Pennington Cemetery south of Sigourney, Iowa. No visitation. Arrangements by Holm Funeral Home, Sigourney.
