Mary Jane Davis, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away with her children by her side on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Private family inurnment will take place at the Linwood Cemetery Mausoleum in Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
Mary was born on August 29, 1946, in Oelwein, Iowa, to LeRoy and Beatrice (Grey) Hardman. She married Cletis F. Davis on September 13, 1964. Mary devoted 14 years to Rockwell Collins before spending 27 years at General Mills, where she worked until her retirement. In her free time, she loved gardening and caring for her flowers.
Survivors include her children, Scott Davis of Guttenberg, Iowa, and Sheila Davis of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter, Madison Davis of Marion, Iowa; special friend, Sue Callanan; siblings, Sharon Bryne, Sally (Royal) Wallander, Becky (Roland) Williams, and Robyn (Jeff) Heising; her in-laws, Cheryle Hardman, Cathy Hardman, Paula Hardman, Cindy Hardman, and Clista (Delmar) Brown; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Milo and Callie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cletis F. Davis; and siblings, Beverly Huston, Richard Hardman, Peggy Davis, Tom Hardman, Harry Hardman, Douglas Hardman, John Hardman, Jimmy Hardman, Susan Wallander, Ronnie Hardman, and Billy Hardman.
