Rozella “Rosie” Edna Dick, 95, of Center Point, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Northbrook Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Center Point, where the family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service time. Pastor Kevin Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery in Center Point.
Rosie was born on August 10, 1929, in Dunlap, Iowa, the daughter of Orville and Edna (Summerfield) Frazier. She attended school in a one-room country schoolhouse in Monona County, Iowa. On December 11, 1949, Rosie was united in marriage to Murlyn James Dick in Moorhead, Iowa, and to this union, four daughters were born. Rosie was a member of First Christian Church in Center Point. She worked for the 150 Truck Stop for over 28 years, until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren. Rosie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rosie is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Carolyn Mahannah of Sac City, Iowa, Kathryn Stanton of New Lennox, Illinois, Cheryl (Daniel Rosendahl) McAfee-Rosendahl of Center Point, and Paula Mackey of Center Point; twelve grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carol Frazier of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, Murlyn Dick; three brothers, Glen, William, and Richard Frazier; sister, Retta Edwards and her husband, Roger; and son-in-law, James McAfee.
