Delores “Dee” A. Sanborn, 88, of Farragut, Tennessee, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away on February 3, 2025 in her home. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre will be assisting the family at this time.
Delores Ann was born on June 19, 1936, in Alburnett, the daughter of Glenn and Helen (Schmickley) Brown. She attended Alburnett High School. Delores was united in marriage to Gordon Sanborn on July 19, 1986. She owned and operated her own beauty salon for several years and later worked at MCI. Dee loved animals, especially her many kitties and her horse, Kiaba.
Dee is survived by her husband Gordon, 3 sons, and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sons Douglas, and Danny.
Memorials may be directed to animal rescue or no-kill animal shelter in Dee's name.
