Zetta M. LeClere, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Winslow House Care Center, Marion, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Hopkinton Community Church, Hopkinton, Iowa. Burial will follow at Hopkinton Cemetery.
Zetta was born May 14, 1937, in Iowa City, Iowa, daughter to Elmer and Beulah (Varner) Goodreau. She graduated from Mckinley High School in May of 1955 and was united in marriage to Lawrence LeClere in October of 1955.
Zetta was family to everyone and was known by “Grandma”. She was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and everything Iowa Hawkeye. She also collected barbie dolls and enjoyed going to bingo and the casino.
Zetta is survived by her children, Kathy (Douglas) Brown, Peggy (Dennis) Enneking, Jackie (Jose) Baca, Darrell LeClere, and CeCe (Kevin) Renner; 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild; and many more loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lawrence LeClere; son, John LeClere; siblings, Sonney Goodreau, Roger Goodreau, and Esther LeClere; granddaughter, Vera; and stepdad, Dave Vonstein.
