One injured in Cedar Rapids shooting Friday
The victim reportedly suffered ‘critical injuries’

CEDAR RAPIDS -- One person was injured early Friday in a shooting in southwest Cedar Rapids, according to the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
Police were called at 12:51 a.m. for a report of shots- fired in an alley between Eighth and Ninth avenues SW, across the street from Jim’s Foods on Sixth Street SW.
Officers found a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The man, who authorities did not identify, was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, according to the police department.
The investigation is continuing.
