On Saturday, Family Promise of Linn County (FPLC) will host the Joyful Noises event at the Olympic South Side Theater in Cedar Rapids. Early bird tickets are available online for $20, or tickets can be purchased at the door for $25. In addition to the performances from local artists, the fundraiser will include a silent auction which already is open to the public online. All money raised will support families in the FPLC shelter, transitional housing, and prevention programs for families facing homelessness.

On Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m., Family Promise of Linn County (FPLC) will host an open house event at its new office at 610 31st St. SE that will showcase recently completed shelter renovation projects.

“Stories from the Heart: Reimaging Hope” in Raygun in Cedar Rapids at 5:30 p.m. Thursday will feature local speakers on what home means to them. The community is invited to join in and help support local families facing homelessness.
