Patricia Lou (Barnett) Berg, 94, received her final wish on Monday, February 3, 2025. Services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025, 3:00 p.m., at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm at the Chapel. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She entered the gates of Heaven to be greeted by her parents, Louis and Winnifred (Blank) Barnett and her oldest daughter, Julie (Martin) Davis. Patricia was born on December 1, 1930, the youngest of 5. Patricia lived in her home until 2022 when she finally agreed to move in with family. Patricia was employed by Sears Roebuck for over 33 years. She started in teletype, then became the advertising manager and finally the catalog manager up till that department was closed. She was an avid Cubbies and Hawkeye basketball fan. She enjoyed trips to the casino and watching Lawrence Welk every Saturday evening. Up until the last couple months she completed each daily crossword puzzle and balanced her checkbook to the penny, a fact she was extremely proud of. Mom’s special love was chocolate, just like her own mother.
Survivors include 4 children: Paul Martin, Brad Martin, Dave (Denise) Zier, Tracy Zier; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; many, many nieces and nephews and sister-in-law, Della Barnett.
At this time, our sister Julie, will accompany our mother in her arms, at her final resting place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
