It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffry R. Westfall, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, on January 25, 2025, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Born November 23, 1946, in Iowa City, Iowa, he was the cherished only son of Jeffry and Genevieve Westfall.
Jeff graduated from Iowa City High School in 1965. While still a student, he met the love of his life, Cheryl. The two eloped and began a lifelong journey together, eventually making Arizona their permanent home.
In 1971, Jeff earned a degree in Finance from Arizona State University and embarked on a remarkable career with Motorola that spanned over three decades. His work took him across the globe to destinations including Mexico, France, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand,
Singapore, and many more. After retiring from Motorola, Jeff pursued his passion for education by earning a Master’s in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix. He then devoted several years to teaching middle school students and coaching volleyball and basketball.
Jeff found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Summers were often spent camping and fishing in the White Mountains of Arizona—especially near Big Lake and Reservation Lake—where he created lasting memories with his family. In his later years, he became an ardent supporter of ASU men’s basketball and relished attending games with Cheryl as season ticket holders.
A devout member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and supporter of organizations like the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and Hospice of the Valley, Jeff’s kindness touched many lives.
He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl; three children: Janelle, Jeff, Ted & their loving spouses; three granddaughters; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
May Jeff's memory bring peace to all who knew him. Memorial services are not yet planned at this time.
