Barbara “Sue” Reifenstahl, 86, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, January 30, 2025. A visitation will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood in Cedar Rapids.
Sue was born on November 9, 1938, in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Wilson High School and later married Jerry Glenn Reifenstahl on October 8, 1975. Sue worked as a secretary for the City of Cedar Rapids Assessor’s Office until her retirement in 2008. She had a passion for quilting and sewing, creating beautiful bedspreads, table runners, and wall hangings. An avid gardener, she took great pride in her vegetable garden. Sue also loved bowling and was a dedicated league member.
Survivors include her daughters, Tami (Scott) Fiala and Misti Pearson (Nathan Johnston); grandchildren, Brogan Fiala, Ryan Robinson, Brandon Galli-Jordan, and Amber Pearson; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Dorothy Janssen; son, Rich Alberts; and siblings, Pat Kostka and Bud Blahnik.
