Ernest “Ernie” L. Akers, 88, of Dubuque, Iowa, formerly of Epworth passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, at Hawkeye Care Center in Asbury, Iowa.
Visitation for Ernie will be held from 10 to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Epworth United Methodist Church in Epworth, Iowa, where a Memorial Service for Ernie will be held Noon with Pastor Ann Walker presiding. Burial will be held at a later date in Mt. Clark Cemetery in Central City.
