Keith H. Stairs, 60, of 1922 9th St. SW, died Monday, January 27, 2025, in his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He entered this world on March 2, 1964, the son of Hazen and Anna Stairs in Houlton, Maine. In April of 1981 he joined the Army with the two people he was closest with, his brother John and his good friend John Rottman. He was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas and then on to Fort Greeley, Alaska. He was employed by KT Pacer where he really enjoyed working with his co-workers and sometimes he even enjoyed work. he enjoyed the outdoors, working in the garden, fishing, mushroom hunting, and socializing. He definitely had the gift of gab.
He is survived by his partner of 24 years, Terri McKinney; two sons Zachary Brislawn (Florida) and Elijah Stairs (Seattle); three brothers, John Stairs (Mechanicsville), Gordon Stairs (Maine), and Cleve Stairs (Maine); and two sisters, Ann (Dave) Weaver (Anamosa, Mary (Tim) Bennett (North Carolina). He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Private family services were held. Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
