Althea Cole's opinion on Sun. Jan. 19 claimed the Biden presidency was riddled with poor decision making. She brought attention to all of the things he did that she did not agree with.
Here’s a few things he did do that I don’t think was poor decision making.
- Passed a $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure package that allowed for invest in the national network of bridge, roads, airport public transport, broadband.
- Helped get more than 500 million life saving COVID-19 vaccinations in the arms of Americans through the American Rescue Plan
- Stopped a 30 year streak of federal inaction on gun violence by signing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.
- Made a $369 billion investment in climate change through the Inflation Reduction Act.
- Capped prescription drug prices at $2,000 a year for seniors on Medicare through the Inflation Reduction Act
- Passed COVID relief deal that provided payments of up to $1,400 to many U.S. citizens
- Unemployment is historically low after the pandemic caused them to skyrocket
- Gave Medicare the power to negotiate prescription drug prices through the inflation reduction act
- Boosted the budget of the IRS to reduce tax evasion and increase revenue
- Created more jobs than any other president: 6.6 million
- Reauthorized the Violence against women act through 2027
And the use of “wasn’t all there upstairs” with regard to Biden could be used for the current president as well.
