Norman K. Stepleton peacefully passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at his home in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was born March 21, 1933, in Mason City, IA to Cecil and Lucille (Hilgers) Stepleton. He owned Central Hardware in LaPorte City, IA for many years then moved on to a variety of sales jobs ending his career selling fork lifts for Hupp Electric. Norman loved to read and spend quality time with his grandchildren, frequently attending ball games and other events. He was deeply loved by all.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Potter); daughters Laura Jill Shaw and Sandra Jo (Martin) Shimak; stepdaughters Missy (Barry) Rose and Noelle (Mark) Dierdorf. Grandfather of 5 with 2 stepgrandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 stepgreat-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren: 3 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Norman was proceeded in death by his wife Katie Mae (Van Ekeren), his parents, 1 sister and his granddaughter.
Visitation 9:30 am Wednesday, January 29, 2025, until the 11:00 am Funeral Service at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Interment to follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
