Uva Mae Klein, 84, of Center Point, died Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at The Views of Marion, following a long illness. Funeral mass: 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 27, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, by Rev. Dennis Miller. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A Rosary Service will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Teahen Funeral Home. Those not attending the Rosary Service may visit with the family from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home, and on Monday after 9:30 a.m. before the mass.
Uva was born on December 18, 1940, in Iowa City. She attended St. Patrick Catholic School in Cedar Rapids. Uva married Dale Klein on June 10, 1961, at St. Patrick Catholic Church. She worked at Norand Corporation for 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching birds and quilting.
Uva is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Dale; children, Kim Klein of Center Point, Dawn (Tim) Brecht of Cedar Rapids, Paula (Brian) Butz of Walford, Brian Klein of Marengo, Lisa (Rick) Noel of New York, Curt (Angie) Klein of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren: Tara (Jason) Fry, Danielle (Nate) Barnes, Nicole (Jon) Sexton, Aimee (Brian) Colander, Nathan Brecht, Shelby (Bryce) Grimm, Olivia Brecht, Tyler (Lauren) Butz, Rachael Butz, Claire, Lily and Eva Noel, Emily (Gus) Marty, Kaden Klein and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Dorothy Landis; sister Cheryl Kline; brothers, Raymond McAtee, Patrick McAtee and Dean O’Mera; in-laws, Ruth and Lawrence Klein; and grandson Michael Brian Klein.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at The Views of Marion and The Davita Dialysis Center for their special care and attention to their beloved mother and wife.
Memorials may be directed to the family and will be given to St. Patrick Church.
