Thomas L. “Tom” Hansen Sr., age 84, longtime member of the Iowa City Fire Department and the Johnson County Emergency Management Agency, died Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City followed by a reception at the Eagles Lodge. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Iowa City Fire Department Benevolent Fund to support its Honor Guard.
