Roberta Jeannette Jones, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Tipton, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha, Iowa. Visitation: 9-10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 23, 2025, Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon. Funeral: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Funeral Home. Burial: Stanwood Cemetery, Stanwood, Iowa.
Roberta was born on September 30, 1933, in Tipton, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Cronkhite) Linn. She was united in marriage to John Jones on February 8, 1959, in Aledo, Illinois.
Roberta’s greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She also worked as a Nurse’s Assistant for various care centers.
Roberta is survived by her children, Kirk (Deb) Jones, Lori (Bill) Thomsen, and Gary Jones; grandchildren, Aaron (Cristy), Emily (Wes), Austin (Alana), Billy (Sara), Matt (Jacinda), Annie, and Jimmy (Michele); 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Yvonne Linn, and Priscilla Linn; and dear friends, Harry & Sherryl Osborn.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Dawn Jones; and brother, Charles Linn.
Memorials may be made to the Oldorf Hospice House.
