‘Made in Iowa’ market will be Feb. 1 at Hawkeye Downs

CEDAR RAPIDS -- More than 114 vendors are expected at the “Made in Iowa Winter Market” at Hawkeye Downs in Cedar Rapids from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 1.

Admission is free to what sponsors call a winter farmers market.

The vendors include bakers, crafters, artists and other talented “makers,” event organizer Cynthia Freese said.

“We’re thrilled to offer the community a chance to shop directly from Iowa’s talented local vendors,” she said. “This market is the perfect place to find unique, handmade items -- from delicious treats to beautiful artisan creations. It’s a one-stop shop for discovering the best of what Iowa has to offer.”

Tom’s Guitar Studio will provide live entertainment during the day.
