Ivan “Ike” Rundall, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on January 12, 2025 at his home. Celebration of Life with military honors will be at a later date.
Ivan was born December 9, 1947, son to Robert and Dorothy (Ghrisham) Rundall. After graduating high school, Ivan was enrolled in college classes, until his enrollment in the United States Army. He served in Vietnam until his honorable discharge on April 1, 1974.
Ivan was a highly skilled craftsman with a passion for riding his Harley, reading, and spending time with his dogs, Jake and Willie. He raised the best German Shepherds.
He was also known for being very strong-willed and didn’t bend to the popular opinion. Ivan was a free spirit and didn’t live life to impress others. Every day was special to him. He stuck with his values and always had a story to tell. He had compassion for the mindset he had verse what others thought. According to Ivan, it was okay to disagree.
Ivan is survived by his siblings, Duane (Billie) Rundall and Elizabeth (Rodger) Keleher; nieces and nephews, Marc (Nikki) Pollock, Michelle (Jon) Blick, Becky (John) Roberts, David (Betty) Rundall, Jodi (Dennis) Warner, Jill Rundall, Jennifer Rundall, Cathy (Kris) Hill, Chris Keleher, Jeff (Jody) Keleher, Susan (David) Crawford, Kenny, Kevin, John Rundall, and Tracy Tichy; a special great-niece, Ma’Leigha; and many great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Rundall, siblings, Laurence Rundall, Bev (Stu) Carsner, and Mary (Jim) Pollock; and nephew, Mike (Michelle) Pollock.
Ivan was well loved by all who knew him and a very loyal friend to all.
