Trump won the popular vote in the recent election with even many Democrat votes. But those with Trump Derangement Syndrome are warning of mass deportations, internment camps for those who have entered the country illegally, and a concern that some cabinet nominees lack experience in their respective positions.
First, mass deportations. Trump has said his administration will focus upon deporting gang members, criminals and potential terrorists who have come in through Biden’s open border. President Barack Obama, a Democrat, deported more than any other President while in office.
Some are concerned about possible internment camps for undocumented aliens. The U.S. has experience with internment camps. They were created to house Japanese Americans during World War II — ordered by FDR, a Democrat.
There is opposition to Trump’s cabinet pick Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. Some feel he lacks the experience to run the military. Hegseth is a Princeton graduate and former Army officer. He served in Afghanistan, Iraq and at Guantanamo Bay. He was awarded two Bronze Stars.
Biden’s cabinet focus was upon diversity and selecting those with government experience. What experience did Pete Buttigieg have that qualified him for Transportation Secretary? He was the Mayor of South Bend and I assume he has driven a car before.
Mass deportations, the internment of Americans and cabinet members with no experience in the field for which they were selected. Before you criticize Trump, know the history of the Democratic Party. They have already done what they only anticipate from Trump.
