Dena Marie Wright, 54, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away unexpectedly on January 1st, 2025.
Dena was born on March 17th,1970, to Dorothy Wright and William Wright. Dena helped care for her friends in her community by providing them with meals and cleaning their homes. Dena was a doner to the St Jude hospital. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Dena was also known for the unique personality.
Dena is survived by her Mother Dorothy Wright, Son's Antonio and Trisha Wright, Willie Pledge, Denzel Juarez and Latrell Juarez, Siblings William Wright Jr, and Ashley and Eugene Irwin, as well as 4 grandchildren, 3 nephews and 1 niece, several aunts, uncles and extended family and friends and her special friend Matthew Hentges.
She was proceeded in death by her father William Wright, Maternal Grandparents Esther and Gilbert Morley. Paternal Grandparents Lizzie and Spencer Wright and her special friend Willie Payton.
Dena was cremated on January 7th at Cedar Memorial Cremation Center. A Celebration of life will be held on March 15th at Ellis Clubhouse and Event Center 1401 Zika Avenue NW Cedar Rapids, IA 52405 from 3 to 7pm.
The family has set up a Go Fund Me account to help with the expenses for her celebration of life.
