Mark R. Hines, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away January 6, 2025 at 74 years of age.
Mark was born August 6, 1950 in Dubuque, Iowa and there he met the love of his life Debby 50 years ago and they have been together ever since.
Mark worked at Hupp Electric Motors for many years. It was there he built his career and many lasting friendships that he cherished.
Mark enjoyed spending time outdoors with friends and family. His wife and children meant the world to him. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons Noah Hines, Evan Hines, and Eli Hines. Cartoons were a special time spent with his granddaughters Freyja Smith and Sansa Hines.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Debby Hines, daughter Laura (Toby) Smith, son Jason (Miranda) Hines, all of Cedar Rapids, daughter Kellie (Brian) Stroud of Des Moines, Iowa, 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Family was everything to Mark and he loved them all very much.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, son (Mark Allen), and father-in-law (Richard Rath).
The family wishes to thank hospice for all their help.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
