Marion woman found dead after going missing in December

A Marion woman who was reported missing in December has been found dead, according to a Friday press release from the Marion Police Department.
Jodie Beth Thomas, 83, was last seen on Dec. 13. An Operation Quickfind was issued by the police department as part of the missing person search.
The quickfind operation was canceled Friday. Thomas was found dead and her family was notified. The investigation into her cause of death is ongoing. Police don’t believe there are any public safety concerns related to her death, according to the release.
