Arthur E. Cejka, 80, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Burial will be in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Brosh Chapel. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre will be assisting the family at this time.
Arthur was born on October 4, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Charles and Amelia (Drahos) Cejka. Arthur was united in marriage to Sandra Urban on May 6, 1967, in Marion. He owned and operated Art’s Auto Clinic in Marion. Art enjoyed gardening, playing Yahtzee, occasionally going to the casino, restoring, and collecting classic cars, and most of all spending time with his family.
Arthur is survived by his children Randy Cejka, Michelle Cejka, and Holly Stahr all of Cedar Rapids; his granddaughter Kelsi Cejka; his siblings Bernard Cejka, David Cejka, Martha Mohler, Rita Cejka, Barbara Cejka, Teresa Cejka, Susan Molyneux as well as his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 54 years, Sandra Cejka, his brother Albert Cejka, and his sisters-in-law Mary Cejka and Janet Cejka.
