Doris Mae Lohf, 97, of Luzerne, IA passed away January 1, 2025 at Keystone Care Center, Keystone, IA.
Doris was born April 15, 1927 to Louis and Emma (Zeman) Yuska in Clutier, IA. She attended school in Clutier. Following school she had several jobs as housekeeper/nanny as well as the canning factories. On April 19, 1949 she married Harold Lohf and made her life on the farm near Luzerne as a farm wife and partner; raising their children and livestock. Doris liked to bake and kept a clean house.
She is survived by her children, Sally (Ron Clay) Kruckenberg, Dale (Melody) Lohf and David (Kathy) Lohf; grandchildren, Kyle and Eric (Joan) Kruckenberg, Landon Lohf, Kelsey (Blaine) Hawkins, Paige Lohf, Andrea (Justin) Lane and Abby (Scott) Grady; great-grandchildren, Brahn, Chase and Eloise Hawkins and Evie, Joseph and Isaac Kruckenberg; sisters, Paula Schutt, Marlys Clough, Shirley O’Connor and Joann Farrell; sister-in-law, Charlotte Lohf; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Arthur and Robert Yuska; sisters, Irene Valenta and Lillian James; brother-in-law, Elmer Lohf.
Doris’ family wishes to thank Keystone Care Center for their compassionate care.
Graveside service will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine, IA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to family. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.neuhausfuneralservice.com
