In his recent guest column Ralph Plagman was able to throw out all the liberal buzzwords. What Ralph might not realize is that it is all those lefty buzzwords that got Trump elected by half of American voters.
He referred to Trump as an “existential threat to our democracy.” All lefties have to get that in, even though their party anointed Kamala Harris as their presidential candidate with no primaries, debates, or other processes enjoyed by a free, democratic society. Dean Phillips and RFK Jr. wanted to run against Biden in a primary but were shut down by the Democrats.
Plagman pointed out that racism is evident in the incoming Trump administration in part due to the absence of people of color among nominees in his new administration. Let me point out that President Biden himself was the epitome of whiteness. A rich, old, white man and career politician, he made the Democrats feel better by saying up front that he would make a DEI hire by picking a woman of color as his running mate.
Finally, Plagman pointed out the need for a free press. We have a free press. What we need is a fair press. The presidential debate in June illustrated how feeble President Biden had become. This did not happen overnight. Why was this not reported by today’s “free” press? Because it is not a fair press. The main stream media were either incompetent or complicit with what had to be a cover-up of Biden’s failing.
