What to know: Iowa has won 10 straight in the series, enabling the Hawkeyes to draw even with the Lady Lions at 29-29.
The Hawkeyes beat Penn State twice last year (111-93 at Iowa, 95-62 in the Big Ten tournament) and have averaged 101.7 points in the last seven games against the Lady Lions.
Iowa squared its Big Ten record Sunday with an 84-63 home win over Purdue. The Hawkeyes got 35 points from its freshmen.
Penn State’s two league losses have come against Indiana (75-60 at home) and Minnesota (90-54 at Minneapolis).
The game features two of the league’s most efficient posts: Iowa’s Addison O’Grady is shooting 67.3 percent from the field; Penn State’s Gracie Merkle is at 66.4 percent.
A 6-foot-6 redshirt sophomore, Merkle is fifth in the league in scoring at 18.8 points per game and ninth in rebounds (9.2 per game).
