CityWalk sets soft opening for Cedar Rapids restaurant

CEDAR RAPIDS — CityWalk Eatery has announced a soft-opening in downtown Cedar Rapids after several months in the making.
The new restaurant, at 102 Second St. SE, will open at 4 p.m. Dec. 31.
The new American eatery will feature steaks, signature burgers, handmade pasta, sandwiches and craft cocktails from Chef Ryan Baker, a former sous chef and bar manager from Chophouse Downtown.
The restaurant, first announced in August, replaced the short-lived Barrel House — an Iowa franchise that closed in July.
Owner Mandy Gaud also owns the new Aether Social Club, which opened in Iowa City’s Peninsula neighborhood in November.
