Jason Jon Kelly, 54, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2024, with a Funeral Mass to immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids.
Jason was born December 24, 1970, in New Hampton, Iowa, the son of John and Ann (Chihak) Kelly. He graduated from Regis High School in Cedar Rapids where he excelled in multiple sports. He worked for Sadler Power Train for 14 years. Jason loved the outdoors; especially cycling, hiking, and fishing. He was an avid music fan who enjoyed watching the Braves, Raiders, and Hawkeyes as well as playing disc golf. Jason will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his parents, John and Ann Kelly of Cedar Rapids; brother, Chad (Stacey) Kelly of North Liberty, Iowa; nephew and niece, Maxwell and Isla; long time significant other, Shelly Dennis of Cedar Rapids; as well as many other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy in Hiawatha or a charity of the donor’s choice in Jason’s memory.
